Love the Frugal Berry!
Will you provide a forum for user-submitted ideas/posts? For instance… use the toaster oven instead of a full size oven for baking smaller dishes. Another similar idea is to allow frozen entrees to thaw prior to cooking. This will reduce the cooking time (and energy used). Another idea is to borrow a kill-a-watt from the local library and scour your house for “always on” devices. Then put them on a power strip with a physical switch!
I could go on. 🙂
Erik,
Thanks for the feedback! I’d love to hear more of your ideas, but right now it is confined to comments. I’m not sure how such a forum would be implemented. Any suggestions?
Hi Karl, Very cool website. I agree with your printer writeup. Go laser or go home poor! John
Hi Karl, Found your page while seeking info on making my own Tick Tubes. Thanks! Now I have to search out permithrin sources. I plan to share your info with my neighborhood. OK to copy? And, maybe put in our local paper with credit to you? Let me know – I am in SE Mass.
Sure! Feel free to pass it on.

need help on brother laser cartridge TN 420 reset from low toner light and now won’t do anything. I am using a Brother HL-2280DW still have the first cartridge in laser. I have not found anyone telling about the TN 420
Jereld, Sorry, I’m not familiar with the TN-420. I wish I could help.
Karl
I’ve just watched your YouTube video about extending the life of the toner cartride on my Brother MFC-7440N, which had ceased printing mid-report because the toner was ’empty’. Thank you so much. I’ve applied two layers of masking tape and been able to complete the print job. I’m going to monitor it from here on to see how long it lasts. I’m not a confident user of technology, so watching you perform the task on YouTube was fabulous and gave me the confidence to try it myself.
Karl, you are a genius with the putty on the Brother toner cartridge window! Thank you a million times. You saved me a messy toner powder change for another 3000+ pages, as your video documented. Keep up the great work!
Glad I could help.
I found your YouTube video on how to override the toner alarm for a Brother laser printer. I used the masking tape option that you recommended and it worked like a charm. Thank you so much!
